What You’ll Do:
Project & Construction Management
Assist the Project Manager throughout the entire project lifecycle, from pre-con to closeout.
Help manage day-to-day construction operations on commercial and industrial projects.
Support scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and permitting.
Review plans, specs, and shop drawings for compliance and constructability.
Participate in pre-construction meetings and weekly project updates.
Ensure timely ordering, tracking, and delivery of materials.
Help oversee contract execution, change orders, RFIs, and document management.
Keep project documentation up to date using FCL’s construction management software.
Planning, Scheduling & Profitability
Support budget tracking, cost forecasting, and change management.
Assist with subcontractor scope development and bid solicitation.
Work closely with estimating staff to support project budgeting and procurement.
Maintain updated logs for submittals, RFIs, and potential/approved change orders (PCOs/ACOs).
Participate in monthly project reviews to support healthy cash flow and timely pay apps. • Coordinate with accounting and project teams to ensure accurate billing and reporting.
Field Operations & Coordination
Perform regular site visits to monitor quality, progress, and safety compliance.
Help prepare and manage project schedules using Microsoft Project.
Participate in owner and subcontractor meetings; document and track action items.
Support punch list development, closeout packages, and O&M manual submissions.
Partner with Superintendents and Project Engineers to keep projects running smoothly.
Collaboration & Relationship Building
Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Maintain strong professional relationships grounded in transparency and trust.
Anticipate challenges and help drive solutions proactively.
Represent FCL with professionalism, ethics, and a commitment to excellence.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of experience in commercial/industrial construction preferred.
OSHA 30 and SWPPP training (or in progress).
Strong understanding of building codes, safety standards, and construction best practices.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling tools (MS Project); CMiC or Viewpoint a plus.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and contract documents.
A proactive, team-first mindset and a drive to grow.
