We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting functions, and supporting the company's financial operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with Sage accounting software, ServiceTitan, and Stample.
Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
Prepare customer invoices and monitor collections.
Record daily financial transactions and maintain supporting documentation.
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Prepare financial reports for management.
Utilize ServiceTitan to reconcile invoices, payments, job costing, and customer account information.
Monitor cash flow and identify discrepancies.
Maintain organized electronic and paper financial records.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices.
Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
Proficiency with Sage Accounting (Sage 50, Sage 100, Sage Intacct, or similar Sage products).
Experience using ServiceTitan for invoicing, billing, customer accounts, and job costing.
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with office staff and management.
Experience in the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, or home services industry.
Experience preparing financial reports and supporting audits.
Knowledge of sales tax reporting and compliance.
Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to perform standard office tasks.
