The Loan Servicing Specialist supports post-origination activities such as new loan onboarding, system updates, and payment processing. They also manage loan program exceptions and respond to member service inquiries with professional judgment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of loan servicing experience is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a basic understanding of consumer lending laws and platforms are required.
The Loan Servicing Specialist is the foundation level position in the Loan Operations team. Incumbents at this level will demonstrate effective working knowledge of post origination servicing activities supporting consumer lending programs. Individuals in this position support one or more loan servicing related functions that could include but may not be limited to new loan on boarding, system updates, payment processing, collateral lien perfection, monitoring and release as well as general loan program exception management and reporting duties. Duties performed at this level are routine in nature and generally performed within formal guidelines and direct supervisory oversight. Individuals in this position will receive and respond to member service inquiries using good judgment and tact to deliver exceptional service – the kind that creates the Unitus difference.
