The Engagement Student Assistant supports the promotion of library resources and services through social media content creation, photography, and video production. They also assist with event setup, staffing activity stations, and collaborating with the Digital Engagement Specialist on promotional projects.
Applicants should be comfortable interacting with students and representing the library in a professional manner while possessing strong communication skills. A minimum 2.0 GPA is required, and experience or interest in marketing, design, or media production is highly desired.

HPU Libraries supports student learning and campus engagement through events, programs, collections, services, and digital content. As a student employee, you will gain experience working in an academic library while developing skills in marketing, communication, content creation, event support, and audience engagement.
The Engagement Student Assistant supports the promotion of HPU Libraries and its programs, resources, and services. Responsibilities may include creating social media content, taking photos and videos, assisting with promotional materials, and supporting library events.
The specific focus of the position may be tailored to the student’s skills and interests. A student with experience in marketing or social media may focus more heavily on digital content, while a student with a graphic design, photography, or video background may take on more creative production responsibilities.
The candidate will perform most job duties in Smith Library but may occasionally assist with programs or projects at other HPU Libraries locations. Hours may vary depending on job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position requires up to 10 hours per week.
Occasional evening or weekend availability may be needed to support library events.
Applicants must be able to work independently, take initiative, and communicate effectively with library staff, students, and visitors. Applicants should be comfortable interacting with students and representing HPU Libraries in a friendly and professional manner.
Applicants must also be willing to learn new creative tools, platforms, and library procedures.

Tomorrow's oral healthcare providers must be equipped to work in an integrated care environment and address the evolving needs of tomorrow's patients. These providers must also, know how to lead in diverse teams and environments. The School of Dental Medicine and Oral Health at High Point University is intentionally designed to lead the country in innovative curricula and clinical experiences. Our students will be prepared through a blend of didactic courses, high-fidelity simulation, and a unique blend of patient care experiences. High Point University will provide personalized tracks to satisfy the career interests of our students. Students will complete coursework and clinical experiences across most specialties but will tailor their experiences to areas of interest in their fourth year through electives and specialty rotations.
