The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care by rooming patients, recording vital signs, and conducting patient interviews. They also assist physicians with medical procedures and perform routine laboratory tests on collected samples.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and either a Medical Assistant diploma, one year of experience, military medic training, or paramedic training. Medical Assistant certification is preferred and rewarded with additional compensation.

Purpose:
The Medical Assistant roles assist with direct patient care, and performs specialized medical procedures of a routine nature, as dictated by established clinical protocol. Assist medical and/or nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.
