Channel Marketing Project Manager
Position Summary
The Channel Marketing Project Manager supports the execution of channel marketing initiatives and sales operations processes to drive seamless customer experiences and successful commercialization. This role partners cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations to support key accounts, execute go-to-market activities, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of customer requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with internal Sales teams and external customers to deliver clear, timely, and professional communication
Own and lead new customer set up processes
Lead for Commercial team EDI customer priority set up and manage cross functional teams responsible for implementing to ensure customers are set up in a timely manner
Lead special projects requiring working with cross functional teams as needed
Own tracking Petmate price increase implementation, which includes proactively managing a price increase tracker and regular communications with Commercial team on status
Support customer-specific requirements across key retail, eCommerce, and distributor accounts
Maintain and update customer portals, ensuring accuracy of product data, assets, and required documentation
Serve as a point of contact for customer requests, ensuring alignment with internal teams and timely follow-up
Develop customer and category specific comp shops to aid in assessing opportunities for growth
Commercialization & Product Launch Execution
Support new product launches through accurate item setup, asset distribution, and customer onboarding requirements
Complete and submit customer-specific forms for item setup, testing, compliance, and marketing materials
Ensure product data, cross-references, and system updates are accurate and maintained in ERP systems (Oracle) and B2B platforms
Sales Enablement & Trade Support
Provide support for customer trade shows, line reviews, and customer meetings, including development of quote sheets, presentation materials, samples, and product assets
Assist in the creation and distribution of sales tools, promotional materials, and customer-specific sell-in resources
Coordinate sample requests, product images, and marketing assets to support customer and internal needs
Cross-Functional Coordination
Act as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, Product,SupplyChain, and Sales Operations to resolve order issues, holds, deductions, and promotional execution
Proactively identify and escalate risks or issues impacting orders, launches, or customer commitments
Support ongoing process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy across channel workflows
Data, Reporting & Process Support
Assist in tracking and reporting key metrics related to item setup, promotions, and customer programs
Maintain accurate records across systems to support reporting, forecasting, and customer insights
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in data accuracy, reporting, and operational processes
Project & Operational Support
Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of deliverables
Support Sales Operations and Channel Marketing leadership on ad hoc and strategic projects as assigned
Qualifications & Experience Required Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first mindset
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Proven ability to problem-solve, adapt quickly, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently with minimal direction while collaborating cross-functionally
Strong project management and time management skills
Technical Proficiency
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data management, analysis, and reporting)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and customer portals
Familiarity with CRM systems or data/reporting tools is a plus
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting retail, eCommerce, or distributor channels
Understanding of product commercialization and item setup processes
Exposure to trade shows, line reviews, and customer-specific marketing support
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred
5-1O+ years of relevant experience in marketing, sales support, or channel operations (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
