The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals for patients and staff according to established menus. They may also be required to manage the dietary department in the absence of the Lead Cook or Dietary Manager.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience in quantity cooking. A food handler's permit and knowledge of food service sanitation and modified diets are also required.

Position Summary:
The Cook is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets. If Lead Cook or Dietary Manager are away to be able and manage Department until one returns.

Requirements:
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Must have at least two (2) years’ experience in quantity cooking, a basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation and possession of food service food handler’s permit is required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; and some prior kitchen supervisory experience helpful.
