Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of experience in large structural fabrication. Proficiency in blueprint reading and the ability to assemble complex turbine and pump components is essential.

As a Fabricator II they will layout and assemble flat and formed plate components using drawings supplied from engineering with minimal assistance from a Fabricator. Tack welding will be required to join parts as part of the assembly. They will set up fabrication components, lay out and grind parts as necessary to develop shape. Assist as needed in the forming of raw plate.
Proficient: Must possess qualifications, skills and experience of former classification.
Proficient: Proficient in blueprint reading except geometric tolerancing.
Competent: Able to assemble complex runners with some direction and assistance from a Fabricator 3.
Competent: Able to assemble complex distributor assemblies with some direction and assistance from a Fabricator 3.
Competent: Able to assemble complex shaft to runner installations with some direction and assistance from a Fabricator 3.
Competent: Able to assemble complex Kaplan turbine assemblies with some direction and assistance from a Fabricator 3.
Competent: Able to assemble complex pump assemblies with some direction and assistance from a Fabricator 3.
Competent: Able to set up work cells for effective and efficient operations.
Competent: Able to perform hot and cold forming operations such as buckets.
Competent: Able to generate and implement Lean continuous ideas.
Competent: Able to vent check runners and pumps with assistance and direction from Fabricator 3.
Competent: Able to operate main cranes and make lifts of components up to 25 tons.
