Requires an associate's degree in healthcare or a related field and at least 2 years of experience in social work, chaplaincy, or patient advocacy. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and a fundamental understanding of disease processes and medical terminology.

HonorBridge is the largest Organ Procurement Organization in North Carolina. We partner with hospitals, transplant centers and other partners to coordinate the organ and tissue donation process. We are passionate about inspiring our community to register as organ and tissue donors and provide support to the families of those who give the gift of life.
Due to growth, HonorBridge is recruiting for a Donor Services Approach Coordinator. The DSAC empowers potential donor families to donate tissues, and eyes, completing necessary authorizations and interviews. The Donor Services Approach Coordinator will educate families about donation while collaborating with clinical teams to facilitate donation process. Performance is measured by the outcome of the conversation, which includes advocating for the potential donor’s voice, and the needs of both cornea and tissue recipients.
Contributes to HonorBridge’s Mission by being devoted to building connections that save and heal lives through organ and tissue donation.
Achieves job functions in alignment with HonorBridge values.
Adheres to HonorBridge’s policies, procedures, and standards
Ensures family is supported and being provided education on donation and the donation process while advocating for organ, eye, and tissue donation
Collaborates with Donor Service Center Coordinators, Tissue Administrators on Call, and Tissue Recovery, to ensure a high level of customer service and efficiency in the tissue donation process
Completes referral documentation completely and accurately.
Efficiently uses technology.
Utilizes supplies and materials in an efficient and cost effective manner.
Complies with quality assurance policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager of Donor Services Center.
