POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Supervisor provides leadership and clinical oversight to direct care and counseling staff within PHRI programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered, trauma-informed behavioral health and substance use disorder services. The Clinical Supervisor plays a critical role in program development, staff supervision, training, documentation compliance, and quality assurance. This position supports the agency's mission by fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement in clinical care.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide clinical supervision to licensed and pre-licensed staff, interns, and peer support personnel.
Oversee treatment planning, case reviews, and clinical documentation in accordance with Medicaid/Medicare, MCO, and accreditation standards.
Conduct regular supervision sessions and clinical case conferences.
Monitor staff performance, support professional development, and complete evaluations.
Lead onboarding and training of new clinicians on PHRI’s model of care, documentation standards, and clinical policies.
Provide crisis support, de-escalation guidance, and review of critical incidents.
Support utilization management processes, level of care determinations, and discharge planning.
Assist in implementing evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, audits, and policy development.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
Independent licensure in D.C. required (LICSW, LPC, or equivalent).
Must meet requirements to provide clinical supervision per DC regulations.
5+ years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Experience working with substance use disorder and co-occurring populations.
Familiarity with trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and ASAM criteria.
Proficient in EMR systems and documentation practices.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe) and various business software.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.A.
