Full job description
Durabuilt Windows & Doors is one of Western Canada’s largest window and door manufacturers, proudly serving homeowners, builders, contractors, and retailers since 1988. Headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, we are recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies - a testament to our innovative products and the exceptional people behind them. We are a team of doers, thinkers, and problem-solvers who care deeply about each other and the customers we serve. We generate and set all your appointments - you focus on what you do best: closing.
About the Role
We are looking for a Strategic Account Manager to own, nurture, and elevate relationships with Durabuilt’s highest-value accounts in Saskatoon. This isn't about cold-calling or endless prospecting. Instead, you will act as a trusted advisor to client leadership teams, managing high-level organizational dynamics from administrative staff to executive suites. Your mission is to foster win-win outcomes, secure long-term loyalty and drive mutual growth. These accounts are open and the business is there to be won - your success will depend on building strong partnerships and consistently delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Leadership: Build and protect executive-level partnerships with top-tier builders, architects, and designers.
Strategic Growth: Conduct joint business reviews and develop tailored growth strategies that align our solutions with client objectives.
Consultative Selling: Deliver deep industry insights and high-value recommendations that yield measurable business success for clients.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Team up with internal departments (Marketing, Scheduling, Installation) to ensure flawless execution and elite customer experience.
Contract & Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations, pitch executive-level proposals, and handle contractual alignment.
Performance Metrics: Meet and exceed revenue growth targets, account retention goals, and customer satisfaction metrics.
What You Bring
Experience: 5+ years of B2B account management or enterprise sales experience - ideally within the construction, building, or development sectors. Proven success managing high-value portfolios and influencing executive stakeholders is key.
Education: A diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or equivalent practical experience. Candidates with a strong trades or construction background are equally welcome - hands-on industry experience is highly valued and, in many cases, preferred.
Technical Savvy: Strong business acumen and financial literacy are required, along with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents. High proficiency in MS Office and CRMs (Salesforce preferred) is expected. Experience with windows, doors, and glazing products is a major asset!
Flexibility: Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with frequent local client travel and occasional weekend commitments. This role is home-office based with a minimum commitment of 44 hours per week as per employment contract terms.
What We Offer
Top-Tier Compensation: $140,000+ On-Target Earnings (competitive base salary + commission).
Comprehensive Benefits: Full health and wellness coverage.
Career Growth: Real opportunities to advance your career within an industry-leading, award-winning organization.
Impact: The autonomy to shape the success of our most critical partnerships and leave a lasting footprint on the business.
