The OTA/COTA is responsible for providing direct patient care and implementing specific treatment programs under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. They must remain flexible to meet the needs of various facilities within the PAM Health system.
Candidates must be a licensed OTA in the state of employment and hold a current BLS certification. One year of clinical experience is preferred.

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA), under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, is responsible for direct patient care, planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy in the PAM Health system. The Occupational Therapy Assistant/Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant must be flexible to meet the needs of the system within many different facilities. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Following hospitalization for a severe illness or injury, many patients require supervised rehabilitation in a clinical setting before they can achieve their previous quality of life. This long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital in Sarasota, FL, has 40 licensed beds and a medical staff of over 70 physicians. We believe that an interdisciplinary approach helps speed physical, emotional and spiritual recovery. For this reason, we staff our long-term acute care hospitals with medical professionals from a wide range of disciplines. Our highly skilled treatment team includes physicians, registered nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists and physical, speech, occupational, respiratory and psychological therapists.
