The Director manages clinical site availability and prepares students for their experiences through lab practice and scheduling. They are responsible for maintaining affiliation agreements and ensuring students meet all clinical and educational objectives.
Candidates must have an Associate degree in Cardiovascular Sonography, four years of professional experience, and ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification. Proficiency in instructional methodologies and curriculum development is also required.
The Cardiovascular Sonography Director of Clinical Education ensures the availability of clinical sites for the educational experience of the Cardiovascular Sonography students. It is the responsibility of the Director of Clinical Education to prepare the students for their clinical experience with lab practice, classroom lectures and scheduling of physicals, background checks and/or drug testing required for clinical placement.
