We're looking for experienced business development professionals with proven success in sales who enjoy building new relationships, winning new business, managing the full sales cycle and ongoing relationship development. The main focus of the role is to both manage existing clients and also develop new business relationships and new accounts via a direct sales approach focused on our IP services with an opportunity to earn uncapped commission and ongoing client ownership of new logos. This is a Director training and development position offering a fast track based on sales performance.

Key position responsibilities:

  • Develop prospective clients through several strategies including internet sourcing, trade show lists, referrals, various professional directories and personal investigation

  • Foster and close new clients through referrals, cold outreach, networking, and other means (tradeshows, regional organizations, etc.)

  • Responsible for growing new business from existing clients, including working closely with senior leadership to expand current relationships and upsell the TransPerfect portfolio

  • Creatively problem solve to improve current new business development strategy

  • Negotiate rates and deadlines with prospective and current clients

  • Educate prospective and existing clients regarding our services, including TransPerfect’s rates, turnaround time and competitors’ information

  • Liaise with production to ensure that all jobs are handled appropriately and with keen attention to detail, resulting in a perfect product

  • Consistently follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction with delivery, quality and customer service

  • Understand all industries that TransPerfect markets to including industry leaders, current events and any other pertinent data

Essential experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Prior success of exceeding sales targets
