The instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and laboratory instruction in Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology for the Dental Hygiene program. They must also assess student performance, maintain accurate academic records, and foster a safe, engaging learning environment.
Candidates must hold at least a Master's degree in a relevant biological science field with a minimum of 15 semester credit hours in the content area. Strong communication skills and the ability to relate biological concepts to health-science applications are essential.
The instructor’s primary responsibility is to provide active, effective instruction in Anatomy and Physiology I, Anatomy and Physiology II, and Microbiology for students enrolled in the Dental Hygiene program. The instructor will deliver high-quality classroom and laboratory instruction, connect biological and microbiological concepts to dental and health-science applications, assess student learning, maintain accurate academic records, and support student engagement and satisfaction. The instructor will also serve as a professional and academic role model, follow approved curriculum and institutional policies, promote safe laboratory practices, and ensure instruction reflects current scientific knowledge and educational best practices.
