Perform and analyze affinity and kinetics measurements of antibodies using SPR and other biophysical characterization techniques. Serve as the technical lead for protein characterization in Wilsonville, providing troubleshooting support and training for manufacturing associates.
Requires a Ph.D. in Protein Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field, or an M.S. with 2-5 years of industry experience. Must have strong hands-on experience in protein purification and characterizing protein/target interactions using SPR or BLI.
Twist Bioscience is expanding our protein capabilities to support a growing portfolio of products. We're looking for a Protein Scientist with strong technical skills, hands-on experience in protein characterization techniques, as well as a passion for troubleshooting sample problems that arise in a manufacturing environment. The primary focus of this role will be affinity and kinetics measurements of antibody/antigen interactions using SPR.
As a member of the IgG Production team, you will perform and analyze antibody binding and other characterization assays, adjusting your approach to accommodate nonstandard requests as needed. You will also be expected to assist manufacturing associates in troubleshooting experiment issues as they arise. You will collaborate with our subject matter experts located in Twist’s San Francisco and Boston labs to ensure assay alignment between the sites. You will also be required to troubleshoot challenges that arise in manufacturing settings as the subject matter expert at Twist Wilsonville. This role provides the opportunity to work cross-functionally with R&D scientists, automation & software engineers, and bioinformaticists in a fast-paced, innovation-driven company.
