Team Lead – Order Fulfillment (Full Time)
Department: Order Fulfillment
Reports To: Order Fulfillment Supervisor
Location: Portland, OR
Job Summary
The Team Lead – Order Fulfillment is responsible for providing a welcoming environment and excellent service to all customers. This includes leading the Order Fulfillment team, checking in customers for curbside pickup appointments, utilizing various software systems to fulfill orders, accurately scanning out items, processing returns, answering customer questions, and ensuring a smooth and efficient customer experience.
Responsibilities
Customer Check-In:
Greet customers warmly upon arrival in the parking lot and check them in for their scheduled pickup appointments.
Confirm order details and provide any necessary information.
Order Fulfillment:
Use internal software systems to manage and fulfill customer orders.
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely order retrieval.
Item Scan-Out:
Verify order accuracy and ensure customers have all of their purchased items before leaving.
Customer Assistance:
Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers, answering questions and addressing any concerns.
Resolve customer issues or direct them to the appropriate team members.
Returns Processing:
Process customer returns according to company policies and procedures.
Inspect returned items for damage and update inventory accordingly.
Requirements
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a customer service, retail, or warehouse environment is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Excellent customer service skills and professional communication.
Comfortable using computers and various software programs.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Problem-solving skills to handle customer inquiries and return issues.
Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Physical Requirements
This role involves sustained physical activity throughout the shift. The following are bona fide requirements of the position:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead frequently.
Ability to work at a fast pace in a goal-driven environment.
Position requires seeing, hearing, use of hands and fingers, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities.
Must be able to communicate with others including talking, hearing, and listening and exchanging communication.
This position requires working both indoors and outdoors as business needs require. Employees may be exposed to a variety of weather and environmental conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, snow, humidity, and varying temperatures. Employees are expected to work safely in these conditions while following all company safety policies, using appropriate protective equipment, and taking reasonable precautions to prevent heat or cold related illness.
