The Assistant Store Manager works with the Store Director to manage daily retail operations, drive sales, and ensure brand standards are met. They are responsible for training, mentoring, and inspiring the sales team to deliver exceptional customer service and leathercrafting expertise.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and proven experience in retail sales or customer service. The role requires physical stamina for standing and moving merchandise, as well as the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Flagship Assistant Store Manager
The Assistant Store Manager is an on-the-floor leader, an active sales associate, and works in conjunction with the Store Director to manage store operations. This role is designed to be a key operations contributor and clearly focused on the customer experience, daily execution, and support for initiatives set forth by Corporate and the Store Director. Assistant Store Managers should be enthusiastic and passionate about customer service, running a retail business, people development, and the craft/brand. Supports and develops sales associates’ customer service skills and inspires the team so that everyone working in the store serves as a true ambassador for Tandy Leather.
The Assistant Store Manager works in partnership with the Store Director and sales associates to create an environment where everyone delivers great service and provides knowledge and insight into leathercrafting and Tandy Leather products.
The Assistant Store Manager drives success by being a role model and will be responsible for training and motivating the store employees, providing superior customer service, and consistently executing operational functions as per company standards.
