Team Leader / Project Manager

As a Team Leader / Project Manager, you will lead commissioning, quality assurance, and building performance projects while providing direct leadership and management for a team of technical professionals. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, oversee project delivery, and help drive continued growth.
In this role, you will manage project execution from planning through closeout, including schedules, budgets, resources, technical oversight, and client engagement. You will also provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of commissioning professionals while supporting business development efforts and helping expand EEI's presence within the Oregon market.
This position is ideal for an experienced commissioning professional and project leader who enjoys building client relationships, leading teams, developing business opportunities, and delivering successful outcomes on complex projects. Annual Compensation Range: $120,000- $174,000/ year

Essential Responsibilities:
Lead commissioning and quality assurance projects from planning, execution, testing, and project closeout.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Provide technical leadership and oversight for commissioning activities, testing, troubleshooting, quality assurance, and verification of MEP and control systems.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of commissioning professionals by setting priorities, assigning work, providing coaching, and supporting professional growth.
Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for new business, project growth, and expanded service offerings.
Support team operations through resource planning, hiring, onboarding, workflow management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications: Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Sciences, or a related technical field.
Experience in commissioning, project management, building systems, construction, engineering, or related technical consulting environments.
Demonstrated experience leading project teams and managing technical professionals.
Strong working knowledge of MEP systems, controls, commissioning processes, and building performance principles.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Currently authorized to work in the U.S. full-time.
Preferred
5 plus years of experience in commissioning, project management, or related technical consulting environments.
Experience leading commissioning activities for data centers, mission-critical facilities, healthcare facilities, or other high-reliability environments.
Experience developing client relationships, generating business opportunities, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
Established professional relationships and business contacts within the Oregon market.
Certifications
Oregon Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
PMP, CCP, CBCP, CxA, or other equivalent commissioning or project management certifications preferred.
NFPA 70E and/or OSHA 30 preferred.
Working Conditions:
Typical Travel: Up to 75%. Travel requirements vary by project and individual location.
Work Environment: Hybrid environment of office and field-based work for site visits. Site visits may include mission-critical facilities, data centers, active construction environments, uneven ground, varying weather conditions, and field interactions.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform site inspections, which may include walking project sites, climbing ladders, occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and working in confined spaces when needed. Reasonable accommodation may be provided.
Reports to: Operations Leader.
Supervisory duties: Direct leadership and management of commissioning professionals, including workload management, performance guidance, coaching, and professional development.
Partners with: Works closely with EEI operations leaders, project managers, technical leads, commissioning engineers, contractors, vendors, clients, and project stakeholders.
Key Representative to: EEI clients, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
