Hiring Range: $425,000.00 – $595,000.00
Actual pay depends on specialty, experience, and performance
Riverside Medical Group is seeking a full‑time Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon to join our established trauma service at Riverside Regional Medical Center, the regional hub for Riverside Health.
Position Highlights
Full‑time schedule: 25 shifts per month
Mix of 12‑hour primary trauma/acute care coverage and 12‑hour back‑up call
Team structure:
Six full‑time trauma/acute care surgeons
Five full‑time Advanced Practice Providers
Scope of practice:
Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, and Emergency General Surgery
Collaborative practice model with APPs
Continuous teaching opportunities with General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Emergency Medicine residents
Compensation:
Competitive base salary with incentives for production, finance, quality, and retention
APP supervision stipend
Opportunity to perform elective surgery for additional compensation when not on call
Program Features
Supported by an experienced Trauma Program Manager
Robust infrastructure including internal registrars, PI coordinators, and educators
Participation in TQIP and NSQIP
Strong Hospital‑Based Violence Intervention Program
Qualified Candidates
Board Certified in General Surgery
Fellowship trained in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgical Critical Care
Eligible for an unrestricted Virginia medical license
No history of license revocation, restriction, or susp
