Produce accurate 3D models, shop drawings, and erection drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel projects. Coordinate with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure designs meet AISC requirements and project schedules.
Requires 3 to 7 years of experience in structural steel detailing and proficiency in software such as Tekla, SDS/2, or AutoCAD. Must have a strong working knowledge of AISC/AWS codes and the ability to interpret architectural drawings.
The Structural Steel Detailer is responsible for producing accurate, high-quality shop and erection drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel projects. This role supports fabrication and erection by translating contract documents, engineering designs, and project requirements into clear, buildable drawings and models that meet company standards, AISC requirements, and project schedules. The Detailer works closely with the Detailing Manager, Project Management, Engineering, and the Shop to ensure coordination and constructability.
