Provides peri-operative support to surgeons and the surgical team to ensure an optimum patient experience. Leads staff through teaching, precepting, and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
Requires 3-5 years of technical operating room experience and graduation from an accredited surgical technology program. Must maintain BLS competency and obtain NBSTSA certification within one year of hire.
Attends the surgeon and surgical team peri-operatively to provide for optimum peri-operative experience. The team leader provides leadership through activities that include development of staff, teaching, precepting, and quality improvements.
