The Associate Environmental Scientist will collect and analyze environmental data while providing technical support for permitting and infrastructure projects. They will also assist in identifying environmental risks and preparing technical reports to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field and possess 1 to 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in GIS software, GPS technology, and knowledge of environmental regulations are required.
Our Earth & Environment Team is seeking an Associate Environmental Scientist to work out of our Houston, TX office.
Provides technical assistance for the collection, identification, and compiling of observational and spatial data concerning a variety of biological, physical, and earth sciences. Provides support to technical staff and project managers for environmental work and permitting projects. Tasks may include assisting with the development of processes and infrastructure relating to water supply, air emission, pollution control, cultural impact, and preserving the quality of the environment by identifying, controlling, and preventing disruption to environmental systems and species caused by human activity. Generates accurate and concise documentation assessing project areas and applying and integrating the science of the interactions between the physical, chemical, and biological components of the environment to solve environmental challenges. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards.
