The cook is responsible for preparing meals according to resident diet specifications and facility procedures under the supervision of the Dietary Services Manager. They must also maintain sanitary work areas and ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Food Handler's permit or ServSafe certification. The role requires effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with residents and staff.
Cook-On Call
Green Valley Rehabilitation Center is part of the Volare Health portfolio of long-term care skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation centers located in multiple states. We welcome our residents, their families, and our staff with warm hearts.
We are looking for a Cook to prepare meals which meet requests and dietary needs of our residents. If you have restaurant cooking experience, are ready to make a difference, and put a smile on others' faces as they enjoy your prepared dishes, we want to hear from you.
Schedule: ONC - PRN (Hours/shifts will vary, weekends/holiday availability, days, and evening shifts)
Pay: $21.27/HR+ (DOE)

The Cook is responsible to prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations under the supervision of the Dietary Services Manager.
