The technician performs genomics and biochemical procedures to support cancer research and clinical trials. Responsibilities include processing patient specimens, maintaining laboratory equipment, and managing laboratory records.

The Laboratory Technician performs laboratory genomics and biochemical procedures of low and high complexity in support of cancer research and clinical trials. This technician will have general laboratory responsibilities such as processing patient specimens, performing routine tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, performing data entry, and preserving laboratory records. This technician will also participate in group meetings with physician-scientists, research faculty, staff and students focused on the cancer research projects in which he/she is a participant.
