The technician is responsible for continuously monitoring EKG alarms and verifying heart rhythms to ensure timely responses. They must perform detailed EKG interpretations and validate findings with nursing staff.
Candidates must pass a required EKG class and competencies within 30 days of hire. A high school diploma and a background as an LPN, Paramedic, or RN student are preferred.
