Candidates should have experience in the inspection and testing industry and strong English communication, literacy, and numeracy skills. The ability to work shift work and function effectively within a team is required.
Commodity Inspector
Intertek is searching for an Inspector 2 (Casual Part-Time - Union) to join our Agri team in our Burnaby, BC office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career!
The Inspector 2 is responsible for:
What you’ll do:
· Attend Vessel loading of various commodities to obtain a representative sample according to accepted industry standards
· Perform Moisture, Protein, Falling Number and DON testing as per acceptable industry methods
· Divide samples, make up composite samples for retention and complete required paperwork.
· Communicate and work in collaboration with terminal shipping department
· Properly utilize and maintain all PPE
What it takes to be successful in this role:
· Experience in Inspection and Testing industry an asset
· Communication, literacy and numeracy skills in English
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Ability to work shift work
The base wage for this position is between $41.66-$42.19 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
