What You’ll Do
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist leads the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for corporate & supply chain roles across Specsavers Canada’s Support Office & our BC Distribution Centre, including complex, senior, niche, confidential, and hard-to-fill positions. As a trusted talent advisor, they partner with hiring leaders to develop effective hiring strategies, provide market insights, and deliver exceptional hiring outcomes and experiences.
Leveraging strong recruitment expertise, advanced sourcing techniques, and data-driven decision-making, this role builds high-quality talent pipelines, solves hiring challenges, and supports current and future talent needs. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist also supports the TA Manager with the continuous improvement of talent acquisition processes, tools, and programs, helping to enhance organizational capability and advance Specsavers Canada's talent strategy.
Serving as a subject matter expert in recruitment excellence, this role balances hands-on delivery with strategic influence while championing an inclusive, candidate-centric approach and strengthening the Specsavers employer brand.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end recruitment for corporate roles, including senior, niche, confidential and hard-to-fill positions, delivering an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
Partner with hiring leaders as a trusted talent advisor, providing market insight, challenging assumptions and shaping effective sourcing, assessment and selection strategies.
Build proactive talent pipelines through headhunting, networking, referrals, social media, job boards, talent mapping and market intelligence, adapting strategies to overcome challenging searches.
Own recruitment data, ATS accuracy and reporting, using talent metrics and insights to monitor pipeline health, identify risks and drive hiring outcomes.
Manage interviews, candidate communications, offers and negotiations, building strong candidate relationships throughout the recruitment journey.
Champion the Specsavers brand, EVP and inclusive hiring practices, representing the business at relevant events, associations and talent communities.
Contribute to Talent Acquisition strategy and continuous improvement, including candidate experience, sourcing, assessment, analytics, employer branding, systems and processes.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in Talent Acquisition in corporate and/or agency environments.
Demonstrated success filling complex, senior, or hard‑to‑source roles.
Experience designing sourcing strategies and delivering market intelligence.
Advanced proficiency with ATS, sourcing platforms, and recruitment technology.
Skilled in creating talent maps, Boolean searches, and passive recruitment.
Familiarity with employer branding and DEI recruitment strategies.
Ability to interpret recruitment metrics and use data to drive strategy.
Strong relationship‑building and consulting skills with senior stakeholders.
Exceptional communication, with the ability to influence and challenge respectfully.
High degree of autonomy, initiative, and critical thinking in solving recruitment challenges.
Ability to manage multiple high‑priority requisitions in a fast‑moving environment.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Adaptable and open to change, with the ability to thrive in a rapidly growing environment.
Experience supporting recruitment projects or cross‑functional initiatives.
Knowledge of employment law and recruitment compliance.
Compensation: $90,000 - $105,000 base salary, plus quarterly bonus, profit sharing, and benefits. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience
