The Senior Protection & Control Engineer will develop detailed electrical design packages for high voltage substations and lead multidisciplinary project teams. Responsibilities include designing protection schemes, performing QA/QC reviews, mentoring junior staff, and interfacing with clients to ensure project milestones are met.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with EGBC. A minimum of 12 years of relevant P&C experience in North American utility projects is required.

This position offers you the opportunity to work in a project team environment with other engineers and designers involved in the detailed electrical design and project management of high voltage substation and power projects.
The successful candidate will be working in the areas of substations, renewable energy, air & gas insulated substation engineering & equipment between the 5kV to 500kV levels. The candidate should understand substation and power system protection schemes as they relate to the design of protection and control systems.
