About Zipline
Zipline is the world’s largest and most experienced drone delivery service. We are on a mission to serve all humans equally by ensuring access to food, medicine and essential goods anytime, anywhere. We design, build, and operate the world’s largest autonomous logistics system, delivering critical supplies quickly and reliably. Today, Zipline operates on four continents, makes a delivery somewhere in the world every 30 seconds, and has completed millions of deliveries to date, including blood, vaccines, medical supplies, food, and retail products.
Our customers include the world’s largest and most prominent healthcare systems, governments, retailers, restaurants and global businesses who rely on us to save lives, reduce emissions, increase economic opportunity, and provide delivery from point A to point B as fast as possible. The drone is only 15% of what we’ve built to enable seamless, reliable, global operations.
Our system strengthens supply chains, reduces congestion, and gives people time back. With more than 140 million commercial autonomous miles safely flown, Zipline is redefining access to healthcare, consumer products, and food across the globe.
We operate at a global scale and are looking for practical problem solvers who thrive on real-world challenges and rapid growth. Our team is motivated by building systems that have a direct, meaningful impact on people’s lives and by scaling the future of logistics. We are seeking people who sculpt from first principles, enjoy facing adversity, and can do the impossible at record breaking speeds.
About You and The Role
Zipline’s Operations team is looking for a Fulfillment Operations Supervisor to lead charging site operations across the greater Austin TX area.
In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of 3–5 Zipline charging sites, ensuring each location is staffed, safe, operationally ready, and meeting performance expectations. You will lead site teams, manage labor planning, and partner closely with Flight Operations, Customer Operations, Maintenance, and Service Engineering to support reliable drone delivery operations.
The ideal candidate is an experienced operations leader who is comfortable working in fast-paced, physical environments. You are organized, data-driven, calm under pressure, and willing to roll up your sleeves to solve problems in the field.
This is an onsite role. Candidates must live in the greater Austin area and be willing to travel between charging sites as needed.
What You'll Do
Lead and manage daily operations across 3–5 Zipline charging sites.
Directly manage Fulfillment Operations Coordinators, Fulfillment Operators, and site support teams.
Set clear expectations for safety, productivity, quality, and customer experience.
Build and maintain staffing schedules that align with operating hours, forecasted demand, and aircraft availability.
Manage labor planning and budgets across assigned charging sites.
Ensure all sites open on time, remain operational throughout the day, and close safely.
Partner with Flight Operations, Customer Operations, Maintenance, Service Engineering, and other teams to resolve issues quickly.
Maintain site readiness, including charging equipment, aircraft availability, inventory, supplies, and general site conditions.
Monitor key performance metrics, including fulfillment speed, operational uptime, aircraft availability, quality, and customer experience.
Use data to identify bottlenecks, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Lead process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reliability, safety, and team performance.
Conduct regular site visits, audits, and coaching sessions to maintain consistent operating standards.
Support incident response and ensure issues are documented, escalated, and resolved appropriately.
Maintain strong working relationships with Walmart and other site partners.
Support the launch of new charging sites and the rollout of updated procedures, technology, and staffing models.
Provide regular updates on site performance, staffing needs, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.
Develop team members and help build a strong leadership pipeline across the Austin market.
What You'll Bring
3+ years of experience in operations, warehouse logistics, fulfillment, retail management, field operations, or a related field.
1+ year of experience supervising teams, multiple locations, or operational workstreams.
Experience managing schedules, labor planning, budgets, and performance expectations.
Strong coaching, communication, and team leadership skills.
Ability to use data and operational metrics to make decisions and improve performance.
Comfort working independently in the field and traveling between sites.
Ability to work in a fast-changing environment and adjust priorities quickly.
A hands-on leadership style and willingness to perform physical operational work when needed.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
Must successfully pass a background check, drug test, and E-Verify process.
What Success Looks Like
Charging sites are staffed and ready to support operations every day.
Teams consistently follow safety and operating procedures.
Aircraft, charging equipment, and site resources are available when needed.
Operational issues are identified early and resolved quickly.
Sites meet or exceed performance, quality, and customer experience targets.
Teams are engaged, accountable, and continuously improving.
Site performance is consistent across the network.
Coordinators and frontline team members are developed for future leadership opportunities.

Zipline was founded to create the first logistics system that serves all humans equally. Our aim is to solve the world’s most urgent and complex access challenges. Leveraging expertise in robotics and autonomy, Zipline designs, manufactures and operates the world’s largest automated delivery system. Zipline serves tens of millions of people around the world and is making good on the promise of building an equitable and more resilient global supply chain.
From powering Rwanda’s national blood delivery network and Ghana’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution, to providing on-demand home delivery for Walmart and enabling leading healthcare providers to bring care into the home in the United States, Zipline is transforming the way goods move. By transitioning to clean, electric, instant logistics, we can decarbonize delivery, decrease road congestion, and reduce fossil fuel consumption and air pollution, while providing equitable access for billions of people. The technology is complex but the idea is simple: a teleportation service that delivers what you need, when you need it. Zipline is inspiring people, governments, and businesses to imagine what is possible when goods can move as seamlessly as information.
