Full job description
About Mistral
Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions: from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute. We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems—across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector—co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms.
We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.
The Role
As a member of the US Talent Acquisition team focused on Sales and Go-To-Market hiring, you will be instrumental in building and scaling Mistral's US-based revenue-generating teams from the ground up. Joining early means you'll help shape both our GTM recruitment strategy and operations, partnering closely with GTM leadership across Sales, Pre-Sales/Solutions, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations. Your work will directly influence our commercial success by ensuring we find and engage exceptional operators who will drive Mistral's growth in the US market. In this role, you'll also foster a strong candidate experience and help establish GTM recruiting best practices as we expand across the US.
What You Will Do
GTM Stakeholder Partnership
Partner deeply with GTM leaders — from CRO and VP Sales to Pre-Sales and Customer Success leadership — to understand hiring needs, define role specs, and identify the right commercial talent.
Own full-cycle recruitment across all GTM functions: AEs (Enterprise, Mid-Market, SMB), SDRs, Solutions/Sales Engineers, Partner Managers, CS leaders, and RevOps
Advise hiring managers on market mapping, leveling, comp positioning, and competitive landscape for US GTM talent
Translate the nuances of each GTM role into compelling, accurate candidate outreach
End-to-End GTM Recruitment
Own the full recruiting lifecycle from sourcing to close, operating with autonomy on complex, high-volume GTM roles.
Source passive and active candidates across US GTM talent pools, particularly in AI/ML, open-source software, and enterprise infrastructure markets
Conduct intake and calibration sessions with hiring managers to align on ideal candidate profiles and stage expectations
Drive efficient, high-conversion pipelines and close candidates in a fiercely competitive market for senior GTM talent
Candidate Experience & Selling Mistral
Guide candidates through the hiring process with clear communication and a compelling narrative about Mistral's mission, culture, and trajectory.
Articulate Mistral's positioning in the AI landscape — frontier models, open-weight philosophy, and enterprise credibility — to differentiate us against better-known competitors
Provide candidates with real insight into our GTM motion, growth plans, and the specific impact of their role
Deliver a high-quality, respectful candidate experience at every stage, regardless of outcome
Recruiting Operations & Data-Driven Improvement
Develop and refine GTM recruiting processes, tools, and documentation to improve outcomes and efficiency.
Use data to diagnose pipeline issues (e.g., drop-off at specific stages, time-to-fill by role) and propose targeted solutions
Build and maintain market maps, competitive intel, and talent pools for key US GTM segments
Standardize GTM interview rubrics, scorecards, and debrief practices across US GTM hiring teams
Raising the Bar
Collaborate with GTM leadership and the broader Talent team to continuously elevate our hiring standards.
Contribute to defining and evolving our GTM talent acquisition strategy in the US as we scale from early commercial team to mature GTM org
Partner on employer-brand and outbound sourcing initiatives that position Mistral as a destination for top GTM talent
What We're Looking For
6+ years of recruiting experience, including 2+ years in a startup or high-growth B2B SaaS/infrastructure company, with a focus on Sales and GTM roles
Demonstrated ability to independently hire across the full GTM stack — from SDRs to senior AEs, Solutions Engineers, and GTM leadership
Deep network and sourcing expertise in US GTM talent markets, particularly in AI/ML, open-source, developer tools, or enterprise software
Track record of hiring in competitive, candidate-scarce markets where GTM candidates have multiple offers
Experience working across multiple US markets
Willingness to work on other roles as needs come up
Comfort navigating ambiguity and switching between strategic planning and hands-on execution
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence peers and senior GTM stakeholders without direct authority
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle shifting priorities across a high-volume hiring slate
Professional experience with modern recruiting tools such as Ashby
Familiarity with the AI/ML landscape and the ability to credibly discuss frontier model capabilities with technical GTM candidates
