Senior Full-Stack Developer, Brussels (on-site) – MAIA

Profile: Senior Full-Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java/Spring Boot, Angular, enterprise authentication and authorization mechanisms, API development, cloud integration and secure application architecture.

Location: On-site (Brussels).

Duration: 130 days.

Rate: 430€/day.

Language: Services will be provided in English. Consultants must have at least a C1 level, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Minimum post-secundary education required: At least 3 years of studies attested by a diploma.

Minimum professional experience required: a minimum of 5 years postsecondary professional experience.

Responsibilities:

· Design and define the application, security and integration architecture required to support the HR Data Analytics Platform and associated services.

· Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, secure and maintainable technical solutions.

· Develop and maintain backend services, RESTful APIs and integration components using Java, Spring Boot and related technologies.

· Implement authentication, authorization and identity federation solutions based on OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC) and JWT standards.

· Integrate applications and services with Microsoft Entra ID, EU Login and other enterprise identity providers.

· Design and implement role-based access control (RBAC), user management capabilities and authorization policies.

· Develop and maintain Angular-based user interfaces, ensuring responsive, accessible and user-friendly experiences.

· Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and implement secure session management, validation and error-handling mechanisms.

· Develop and maintain integrations with Microsoft cloud services and other external platforms supporting the analytics ecosystem.

· Implement secure service-to-service communication, secret management and cloud-based configuration practices.

· Ensure application security, performance, scalability and maintainability through secure coding practices and technical optimizations.

· Implement audit logging, monitoring and observability capabilities to support operational excellence and compliance requirements.

· Develop automated unit, integration and system tests to ensure solution quality, reliability and stability.

· Support user acceptance testing, security assessments, penetration testing activities and remediation actions.

· Prepare deployment packages, deployment and rollback procedures, and contribute to CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation.

· Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve application, integration and production issues, ensuring effective incident management.

· Produce architecture documentation, technical specifications, API documentation, configuration guides and operational procedures.

· Deliver knowledge transfer sessions and contribute to the creation of support, operations and maintenance documentation.

· Provide regular progress updates, contribute to project status reporting and participate in technical workshops and design reviews.

· Collaborate with architects, developers, security specialists, business stakeholders and product teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

Specific knowledge, skills and expertise:

Java Backend Development

· Minimum 4 years of experience in Java development.

· Strong expertise in Java 17 or later.

· Strong expertise in Spring Boot.

· Strong expertise in Spring Security.

· Strong experience in REST API design and development.

· Experience with Maven and/or Gradle.

· Experience with API versioning and API lifecycle management.

Identity and Access Management

· Strong knowledge of OAuth2.

· Strong knowledge of OpenID Connect (OIDC).

· Strong knowledge of JWT.

· Experience implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.

· Experience implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

· Experience integrating enterprise identity providers.

· Experience with Microsoft Entra ID.

· Experience with service principals and application registrations.

Frontend Development

· Minimum 3 years of Angular development experience.

· Strong knowledge of TypeScript.

· Experience with Angular component architecture.

· Experience integrating Angular applications with REST APIs.

· Experience implementing secure web applications.

Cloud and Integration Technologies

· Experience integrating cloud services through REST APIs.

· Experience with Microsoft Azure services.

· Experience implementing secure service-to-service communication.

· Experience with secret management and secure configuration practices.

DevOps and Quality Assurance

· Experience with Git.

· Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

· Experience with automated testing frameworks.

· Experience with Docker.

· Experience with application monitoring and logging.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
