Dietitian at Providence Portland Medical Center. This posting represents On-Call, Day Schedule.
The Dietitian works closely with the departmental and interdisciplinary health care team to provide care that is integrated and compatible with patient-centered medical goals and objectives. Utilizes the Nutrition Care Process and Terminology (NCPT) to assess nutrition status, identify nutrition diagnoses (including the assessment for malnutrition), performs nutrition-focused physical examination, interprets results, orders nutrition and diet orders, designs and implements nutrition care plans, and monitors and evaluates outcomes of nutrition care plans for patients who are at nutrition risk or malnourished. Provides medical nutrition therapy to patients, families and the community.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, foods and nutrition or related area granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college or university, or foreign equivalent.
Master's degree is only required for those entering the workforce after 1/1/2024 as a Dietitian.
Coursework/Training: Completion of required dietetics coursework and supervised practice through a Didactic Program in Dietetics and Dietetic Internship or Coordinated Program in Dietetics accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Upon hire: National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration
Within 6 months (180 days) of hire Oregon Dietitian License
Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: May require additional state Dietitian License
1 year experience with current adult learning theory in relation to nutrition education.
1 year experience with nutrition management of multiple disease states.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year experience with managing nutrition in a clinical setting.
1 year experience providing medical nutrition therapy.
