genU is looking for Workforce Team Leader to join the Social Enterprise in WA. The Social Enterprises division delivers high-quality, commercially sustainable goods and services while providing meaningful employment opportunities for NDIS participants with employment-related goals and the broader supported workforce.
What you’ll do
The Workforce Team Leader supports site teams and supported employees across genU Social Enterprise sites in WA. Reporting to the Social Enterprise Manager, this role leads the Workforce Coordinators, oversees recruitment, training, development and employment pathways for supported employees, and ensures consistent, best-practice processes that align with NDIS standards while fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace.
Lead and support the Workforce Coordinator team across WA, ensuring consistent, compliant, and best-practice workforce processes.
Drive recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning activities to maintain a strong pipeline of supported employees.
Develop and oversee training, career development, and transition programs that help employees build skills and achieve employment goals.
Build and maintain relationships with schools, community organisations, employment services, and disability sector partners to create employment opportunities.
Monitor workforce performance, compliance, and reporting, using data and insights to drive continuous improvement.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture that empowers people with disability to succeed in the workplace.
What you’ll bring
Demonstrated leadership experience in disability services, community services, employment services, social enterprises, or a related sector.
Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
Experience in recruitment, workforce development, stakeholder engagement, and supporting individuals to achieve employment outcomes.
Sound knowledge of NDIS requirements, employment legislation, compliance frameworks, and supported employment practices.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse stakeholder groups.
A passion for social impact and a commitment to creating inclusive employment opportunities for people with disability.
(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
