About The role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our Contract Management and Procurement team.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in delivering end-to-end procurement support across the organisation. You will partner with internal stakeholders to plan, source and manage procurement activities that achieve value for money, minimise risk and support WAPHA's strategic objectives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys building relationships, providing expert advice and driving best-practice procurement outcomes.
🔹Employment Type: Full-time contract for 12 months
🔹 Salary: Band 4 ($94k - $101k Plus 12% Superannuation)
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Develop and coordinate sourcing activities that establish effective supply arrangements.
Provide procurement advice, guidance and support to stakeholders across the organisation.
Assist in developing and implementing procurement sourcing strategies.
Conduct business needs assessments, market analysis and commercial risk evaluations.
Manage procurement processes and tender activities, ensuring transparency, probity and compliance.
Identify, assess and mitigate procurement risks.
Maintain accurate procurement documentation and audit trails.
Support contract managers in resolving supplier performance issues and post-contract disputes.
Undertake stakeholder due diligence activities to identify supply chain risks.
Promote continuous improvement and build organisational capability in procurement practices.
About you
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:
Essential experience and education
Demonstrated experience in procurement, sourcing, contract management, or a related commercial role.
Experience managing end-to-end procurement processes, including quotation, tender and contract administration activities.
Proven ability to provide procurement advice and support to a diverse range of stakeholders.
Experience undertaking market analysis, supplier assessments and procurement risk evaluations.
Experience developing and maintaining procurement documentation, reports and audit records with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
Sound understanding of procurement governance, probity principles and risk management practices.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to prepare procurement documentation and present recommendations clearly.
