Location: The Learning Experience – Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY Pay: $20–$23 per hour Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Lead Preschool Teacher – Early Childhood Education
The Learning Experience – Bushwick is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Preschool Teacher to guide our 3-year-old classroom. This role is responsible for creating a structured, engaging learning environment where children develop confidence, independence, and kindergarten readiness through purposeful play and meaningful classroom experiences.
As the Lead Teacher, you will mentor assistant teachers, build strong relationships with families, and implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum to help every child reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily classroom routines for a 3-year-old preschool classroom
Implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons using the L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Foster children's social-emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development
Create a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
Guide and mentor assistant teachers while promoting teamwork
Communicate regularly with families regarding children's progress and classroom activities
Maintain compliance with New York State and NYC licensing requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education required
Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practice
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Must meet New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
