Maintain a safe and positive swimming environment by monitoring the pool and surrounding areas in accordance with YMCA policies. Perform water chemistry tests, document incidents, and ensure the safety of all participants through active surveillance.
Must be at least 16 years old and hold current CPR and First Aid certifications. A valid YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguard certification is required, with the ability to complete a crossover training if necessary.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lifeguard position creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while promoting and maintaining a safe swimming environment in the pool, deck and surrounding areas in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
