Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, In Person
Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. Employer contributions cover the cost of care, so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.
About the Role
Healthy Kids is looking for an experienced, skilled, detail-oriented, self-starter to occupy the position of Junior Accountant for the company. This position will perform key functions in the finance department and report directly to the Finance Manager. Must love a fast-paced office and learning new things. A positive team player who is respectful of our G-rated work environment is encouraged to apply for this exciting opportunity to join our team.
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty in a satisfactory manner. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience: High School diploma required; Associates Degree in Accounting preferred. 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping and/or Finance related experience required. Knowledge of accounting including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Strong knowledge of excel to include VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data visualization. Experience with QuickBooks.
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate effectively with all third-party payer representatives as well as internal staff members including program staff.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs and data.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
