Maintain a safe and positive swimming environment by monitoring the pool area and ensuring the safety of all participants. Perform water quality tests, document incidents, and adhere to all YMCA safety policies and procedures.
Must be at least 16 years old and hold or obtain CPR, First Aid, and YMCA Lifeguard certifications within the specified timeframe. Ability to read and write written directions and a commitment to mandated reporting for child abuse and neglect is required.

The Lifeguard position creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while promoting and maintaining a safe swimming environment in the pool, deck and surrounding areas in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
