Overview
Part-Time Contract Early Intervention Evaluator (One-Year Contract)
Help shape a child's future—one evaluation at a time.
Racker is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Early Intervention Evaluator to join our interdisciplinary evaluation team on a one-year contract. This flexible, part-time opportunity is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about early childhood development and enjoys working closely with families and community partners.
During the initial onboarding period, you'll complete approximately two Early Intervention evaluations per week (approximately 7.5 hours/week).
What You'll Bring
Experience working with infants, toddlers, and their families.
Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, New York State Early Intervention regulations and best practices.
If you're looking for a meaningful opportunity to support children and families during the earliest years of development while maintaining a flexible schedule, we'd love to hear from you. Join Racker and help families take the first steps toward lifelong success.
Responsibilities
Serve as a member of an interdisciplinary Early Intervention Evaluation Team, assessing children from birth to age three across developmental domains to determine eligibility for Early Intervention services.
Conduct comprehensive, family-centered evaluations using evidence-based assessment practices.
Prepare detailed evaluation reports and clearly communicate evaluation findings and eligibility recommendations to caregivers, families, and community partners.
Ensure evaluations meet Racker standards and comply with New York State Department of Health Bureau of Early Intervention (NYSDOH/BEI) regulations and evidence-based guidelines.
Represent Racker professionally while collaborating with families, healthcare providers, and community agencies to support positive outcomes for young children.
Since 1948, Racker has been many things to many different people.
We are a community, a friend, a family, and a provider of services, supports and opportunities that help people live happy and fulfilling lives. Knowing that we work within a system that is limited to helping people once they’ve received a “label” of a disability, Racker chooses instead to focus on what it is that truly makes people, all people, happy- having friends, learning new things, and being independent.
We don’t focus on labels. We focus on people. We continue the vision of our founding families, that all people will be valued members of a welcoming community. That vision is the foundation for everything we do, and we work to share it throughout our community.
Vision
We envision a world where all people know they belong.
Mission
We support people with disabilities and their families to lead fulfilling lives by providing opportunities to learn and be connected with others.
