About Tampa Family Health Centers
At Tampa Family Health Centers, healthcare is more than a service—it’s our mission. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide high-quality, compassionate, and accessible healthcare to a culturally diverse community across Hillsborough County. Our team thrives on innovation, collaboration, and positive change, and we are proud to be a trusted leader in community-centered care.
Joining TFHC means becoming part of a mission-driven organization where providers are supported, valued, and empowered to practice at the top of their license while making a meaningful impact in the communities they serve.
Join Tampa Family Health Centers — Where Compassion Meets Coordination
Are you a referral and scheduling expert who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment? Do you understand how to keep providers productive, patients supported, and departments operating at peak performance?
At Tampa Family Health Centers, we are seeking a dynamic Women’s Health Coordinator who is equal parts strategist, problem-solver, and patient advocate. This is more than an administrative role — it is the operational backbone of our Women’s Health Department.
Why This Role Matters
Women’s health requires precision, urgency, and seamless coordination. As our Women’s Health Coordinator, you will:
Drive provider productivity through strategic scheduling and template management
Ensure timely referrals, authorizations, and specialized appointments
Reduce first-pass denials and improve financial performance
Enhance the patient experience through proactive communication and engagement
Lead and mentor Referral Specialists to meet quality and productivity standards
Serve as a liaison between clinical teams, administration, and ancillary services
Your work will directly influence patient outcomes, department performance, and overall quality of care.
Key Responsibilities
Create and adjust provider schedule templates aligned with productivity standards
Monitor schedules to ensure appropriate and timely patient placement
Manage referrals and secure authorizations for procedures and high-risk cases
Supervise and train Women’s Health Referral Specialists
Approve PTO, review timecards, and maintain team accountability
Maintain up-to-date referral resource databases
Support quality, financial, and performance metrics across the department
Communicate clearly with patients and care teams to coordinate next steps
This is a leadership-oriented coordination role ideal for someone ready to drive operational excellence.
What You Bring
High School Diploma (Associate’s Degree preferred)
Minimum two (2) years of referral management and care coordination experience
Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of managed care referral processes and medical terminology
Experience navigating Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
Exceptional multitasking ability in high-volume environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced computer proficiency, including Windows-based applications
If you are organized, analytical, patient-focused, and confident managing complexity, you will thrive in this role.
Our Culture
At Tampa Family Health Centers, we value:
Respect and professionalism
Cultural awareness and inclusion
Confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Clear, accountable communication
Adaptability and teamwork
We believe operational excellence fuels clinical excellence, and we invest in professionals who share that commitment.
If you are ready to coordinate with purpose, lead with confidence, and elevate women’s healthcare operations, we encourage you to apply today and become part of a mission-driven organization committed to advancing community health.
