Job Summary
Oversee and manage the operational efficiency and safety of railway services. Lead a team of dedicated professionals to ensure the smooth operation of trains, stations, and related facilities.
Essential Functions
Provide strategic leadership to ensure safe, punctual, and efficient train services, collaborating with teams for resource optimization and service enhancement.
Uphold safety standards through implementation of regulations, conducting audits to mitigate risks.
Monitor KPIs for on-time performance, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction, driving continuous improvement.
Manage staffing, equipment, and infrastructure for optimal resource utilization while controlling costs.
Develop emergency response plans, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure regulatory compliance to maintain operational integrity and Amtrak's operating license.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
Plus 13 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Plus 15 years of relevant work experience.

In-depth knowledge of railway operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and fleet management

Environmental Conditions/Physical Demands
The salary/hourly range is $187,500.00 – $242,892.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
