Airgas is looking for a dedicated, relationship-focused Sales Specialist (Specialty Gas)who will steward and nurture sustainable growth and value of specialty gas products within an assigned region. This role focuses on nurturing and maintaining strong customer relationships, discovering and welcoming new business opportunities, and sharing technical expertise and guidance to co-create solutions and support customer aspirations.
Conduct thorough research to identify potential customers and discover new partnership paths.
Contribute to and advance growth aspirations for specialty gas products, including pure gases, gas mixtures, and related equipment.
Develop and bring strategic growth plans to life to identify, qualify, and partner with new customers within target industries.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, deeply understanding their evolving needs and ensuring long-term satisfaction.
Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to educate and support customers on the features, benefits, and applications of Airgas specialty gas products.
Collaborate deeply with internal teams, including operations, customer service, and technical support, to ensure seamless order fulfilment and build alignment on solutions.
Prepare and share accurate forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates to keep the management team informed and aligned.
Monitor market trends, market dynamics, and customer feedback to discover opportunities for product development or service enhancements.
Facilitate agreement on pricing and contract terms with customers, adhering to company guidelines and profitability objectives.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related scientific/technical field.
We value 3+ years of experience in product, laboratory, or sales environments (we also value an equivalent combination of education and unique life experience).
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage dynamic priorities effectively.
We value experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control.
