The Warranty Data and Reporting Specialist is a key member of a six-person team within the Warranty organization. Our team is responsible for supporting the Warranty applications OWL/PRISM, managing associated data environments, and continuously improving the experience of both internal and external users.
This role serves as the primary point of contact for Warranty data environments, including the current data warehouse, HANA platform, future Snowflake solutions, and OWL/PRISM applications. You will be critical in shaping reporting strategy and developing dashboards and analytical solutions. As subject matter expert for OWL/PRISM and other Warranty-related systems and projects, the successful candidate will support key business initiatives while helping advance the organization's digitalization and AI-driven objectives. The position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing reporting and analytics solutions using tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, WebFOCUS, and SQL-based query platforms.
This individual will work closely with dealers, business stakeholders, data governance teams, and technical resources to ensure data quality, resolve issues, define requirements, and support business-critical reporting needs. In this role, you will also collaborate with internal partners including IT, Field Service, Purchasing, Service Engineering, Aftermarket Parts, and Network Partners globally across all DTNA brands and business units. What You Drive at DTNA
Serve as the primary contact for Warranty data, including the Warranty Data Warehouse, HANA, future Snowflake solution, and Warranty-data related projects.
Subject matter expert for reporting strategy for PRISM (Warranty replacement system), dashboard and report development.
Lead and manage group efforts on projects and processes, as required.
Develop workflows in Alteryx to blend data from multiple sources to extract data, create scheduled reports, or to create tools to improve processes.
Manage and support WebFOCUS reports for internal Warranty and external recipients.
Support dealers and direct warranty customers with critical Warranty reports and Warranty Management Dashboard.
Collaborate with Warranty Data Governance Group to set standards, share knowledge, and adopt best practices with regards to Warranty Data.
Analyze data, develop KPIs, and provide insights to support business decisions.
Present findings and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams
Lead system enhancement and process improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Collaborate with business users and technical teams to define system-improvement requirements, triage defects, resolve issues, and support testing.
Deliver ad hoc reporting, data extracts, and analytical support as needed.
Represent the Warranty Systems team on enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives.
Develop, maintain, and support Warranty reporting solutions and metrics.
Gain cross-functional knowledge of team responsibilities and Warranty processes to provide backup support as needed.
Knowledge You Should Bring
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college and 2-4 years of relevant experience OR 6 years of experience in lieu of degree.
Experience with data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting solutions.
Proficiency with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, WebFOCUS, Alteryx, AQT, or similar platforms
Foundational understanding of the DTNA Warranty System (OWL) and related warranty processes.
Strong analytical, strategic, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience communicating technical concepts and business impacts to diverse stakeholder groups.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly across varying levels of management.
High proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications.
Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Experience participating in projects, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and driving process improvements.
Understanding of key business drivers and how data supports business performance and decision-making.
Professionalism, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
Minimum two years of Warranty knowledge, preferred.
Skilled at navigating and influencing internal and external stakeholders to achieve efficient, high-impact outcomes.
Automotive or heavy-duty vehicle and powertrain component experience.
Knowledge of DTNA vehicles, components, supplier networks, and business applications.
Experience, proven ability and desire to coach junior team members and act as a resource to others.
