Operators are responsible for the set-up and operation of laser cutting machines to produce products that meet quality requirements. They must also monitor machine performance, perform operator maintenance, and ensure safe operations within the fabrication shop.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in basic math, computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds are required.
Operators are responsible for set-up and operation of laser cutting machines to produce products meeting customer quality requirements. Operators must also operate and process parts according to print and traveler requirements. Operators must monitor machine cutting performance and utilization.
This job operates in a fabrication shop and may be completed in a confined area subject to loud noise. Full-time work and overtime is expected per business needs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their fingers and hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift/ or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
