Manage the closing operations for a portfolio of Par, Near-Par, and Distressed trades while ensuring risk mitigation and timely settlement. Lead operational professionals and collaborate with trading and settlement functions to resolve complex fixed-income and equity transactions.
Requires extensive experience in Par, Distressed, and Equity loan closing, including knowledge of loan distributions and reorganization events. Proficiency in specialized systems such as Clearpar, Loan IQ, and Broadridge is essential.

Join Barclays and our Loan Closing team as Vice President, Distressed Loan Closer and take accountability of a dynamic portfolio of Par, Near‑Par, and Distressed trades booked by the Trading Desk. In this role, you will navigate a fast‑paced environment where precision, sound judgment, and considerable analytical capability are essential to mitigating risk and ensuring timely settlement. You’ll partner closely with trading, settlements, and other key functions to resolve highly detailed fixed‑income and equity transactions, while applying your knowledge across loan distributions, restructurings, and system workflows. Success in this role requires a high level of accountability, technical proficiency across core platforms, and the ability to adapt quickly as deal structures and priorities evolve.
To be successful in your role as Vice President, Distressed Loan Closer, you should have:
Extensive Loan closing experience with Par/Distressed/Equity trade closing
The ability to work closely with trading and settlement functions investigating multi-layered fixed income and equity transactions. Prior experience with loan distributions and reorganization events
The aptitude to learn new software/applications
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, Clearpar, Loan IQ
Broadridge, BPS, Impact, Gloss (Equity and Fixed Income systems experience)

Minimum Salary: $140,000.00
Maximum Salary: $195,000.00
