Responsible for managing all daily fitness center operations in order to ensure optimal performance in person and virtually. The Senior Fitness Specialist requires an individual with strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills and extensive background in the health and fitness industry. The individual must have proven expertise in management, customer service, employee relations, technology and organizational skills.
This position interacts with members and program participants to deliver safe, effective, and enjoyable fitness and wellness programs and services in accordance with the objectives and policies set forth by Elevation Health. Provides excellent leadership, up-to-date quality instruction, and high energy motivation to members and participants in order to maximize participation, outcomes, and customer satisfaction.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist with day to day operations of the fitness center
Conduct Fitness Assessments, Fitness Center Orientations, Exercise Prescriptions
One-on One Training Sessions
Create challenges, incentive/wellness programming and events to engage residents in fitness in-person and virtually
Develop and create marketing materials for programming, events, and challenges (utilize Canva and Wordpress as marketing tools)
Manage Elevation portal & SSO from client’s wellness webpage
Manage client’s intranet/sharepoint page for fitness
Manage/schedule one-on-one sessions from wellness platform
Create group fitness schedules and change as needed
Teach group fitness classes onsite and virtually
Track and report group fitness statistics and use this data to develop future schedule
Health Education and Promotion
Wellness Initiatives (bulletin boards, newsletters, lunch n learns)
Floor supervision
Provide monthly reports to client and Elevation
Manage payroll processing, performance review, and compensation for staff
Ensure all enhanced cleaning protocols are being strictly adhered to by staff and housekeeping
Equipment maintenance and cleaning
Monthly equipment safety check
Perform other duties as assigned
Comfortable using Zoom & Microsoft Teams
Operate and follow all rules, regulations and security protocol provided by client
Collaborate with client’s Wellness team
Emergency protocols
CPR/AED certification - required
Personal training certification and experience - required
Experience teaching group exercise classes - required
BS in Exercise Science or related field - preferred
Group Fitness certification - a plus
