Our Auburn Plant is located about 40 minutes from Portland - Maine's largest city - and is an integral production node within our Feminine Care business unit. Here we manufacture most of P&G's tampon products for worldwide distribution. At Auburn we model our approach to work after several core values: culture of safety - nothing we do is worth getting hurt - utmost emphasis on quality, as well as placing confidence and trust in our people and systems. The Auburn plant was founded in 1968 as part of Tambrands, Inc. before being acquired by P&G in 1997. Our site has almost 600 full-time employees split between technicians, engineers, and support personnel working in a variety of operating or support departments.
We are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our Site Engineering team. This team focuses on capital projects affecting facilities, construction, utilities, and other total site initiatives. The current priority is delivering 2 new warehouses with supply chain 4.0 technologies to drive manufacturing and inventory excellence. The work schedule is on-site, Monday through Friday. Successful candidates will strategically manage and drive top notch execution of specific project activities within the warehouse construction scope. This will vary from a portfolio of smaller projects (typically 3-5) to full ownership of a larger-scale project. Project budgets range from $100K to $100 million and reflect a mix of self-owned and cross functional, collaborative initiatives.
Ultimately, you will help increase the output of our plant! This is an exciting role that will provide a high level of engagement, visibility, and ownership, and will leverage your project management and technical experience to help deliver exceptional results for our site and our company.
Facilities expansion and upgrades
Warehouse construction and logistics automation (AGV expansion, automated racking systems, and other material handling / movement initiatives)
Driving cost savings and sustainability initiatives for site utilities
Capital procurement
Deliver projects as a mid-level individual contributor. There will be management of other opportunities down the line for this position, but not within initial role scope.
Manage strategic projects across site, region, and business unit stakeholders
Create front end technical base plans
Work with a central project delivery team based in Cincinnati
Prepare project timelines inclusive of key project milestones, providing transparency to the project team(s) and communicating with cross-functional teams
Manage risks and define resolution strategies while creating clarity in ambiguous situations
Develop new processes and routines for increased visibility and accountability
Report on project progress and communicate relevant information to manager & leadership
5+ years of relevant project engineering experience
BS or MS in an Electrical Engineering, an electrically related technical degree, or relevant electrical experience (including military service)
Demonstrated portfolio and project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Financial and budget management experience
Multi-functional team leadership experience
Demonstrated technical mastery, leadership, & collaboration skills
Prior manufacturing industry experience
Project manager certifications like CAPM, PMP, etc
