Provide direct psychological services, including assessment and psychotherapy, to university students with complex mental health concerns. Supervise and train clinical psychology trainees while maintaining an active clinical caseload and managing crisis responses.
Requires a master's degree in psychology and registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists, with a Psy.D. preferred. Must have at least five years of experience as a registered psychologist and expertise in clinical supervision and risk assessment.
Summary: Reporting to the director, student health and wellbeing, the staff psychologist provides direct psychological services to university students in the department. This position contributes to the supervision and training of clinical psychology trainees through a shared supervision model involving psychologists and other qualified clinical supervisors within the department The psychologist maintains an active clinical caseload and provides assessment, intervention, psychotherapy, crisis response, consultation, and referral services to students, including individuals presenting with complex mental health concerns or an elevated risk of harm to themselves or others. This role contributes to the shared objectives of the department and the university psychology program, including training expectations influenced by Canadian Psychological Association accreditation standards.Duties and Responsibilities:

Continuing Medical Education (CME) is a division within the College of Medicine with the University of Saskatchewan. CME is a leader in enhancing the patient's quality of health through its innovative educational opportunities in lifelong learning. CME offers continued learning through online courses, virtual and in-person conferences, and partnered programs. CME also provides event services to assist with the planning and organization of events. Event Accreditation helps organizing committees stay on track with all the elements required by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the College of Family Physicians of Canada for an event to be claimed for study credits by your learners. The Division of CME is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CACME). As such we can help you accredit your event for specialists for the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program and for Family Physicians though the Mainpro+ program.
