Candidates must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and have graduated from an accredited nursing program. Six months to one year of experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing is preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Functions as staff LPN utilizing the nursing process with performing comprehensive psychiatric /mental health assessments. Evaluates mental status and refers clients to other treatment providers when necessary. Assumes primary responsibility and accountability for ones nursing practices as defined in the state specific Code of Nursing Practice, as it pertains to a licensed practical nurse and functions under the supervision of an RN or physician.
This position requires the nurse to be in the Waynesboro location one day per week and at the Hohenwald location four days per week.
Must have the ability to work cooperatively with all staff and physicians and function as a valuable member of the treatment team.
Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
Minimum of six months to one year experience in psychiatric or equivalent mental health related nursing experience is preferred.
