The technician performs hearing screens on newborns in a hospital setting and provides education to parents regarding the importance of early intervention. They are also responsible for accurate data entry, documentation, and maintaining compliance with hospital safety and security protocols.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to obtain CPR certification. The role requires physical stamina to stand and walk for the majority of the shift and the flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
The Hearing Screen Technician (HST) performs hearing screens and provides education to parents on the relevance of hearing screens and the importance of early intervention.
