The instructor is responsible for delivering surgical technology courses, managing a dynamic classroom environment, and providing academic support to students. They must collaborate with the Academic Dean to implement curriculum and ensure student success through consistent feedback and engagement.
Candidates must hold an Associate's degree in Surgical Technology and an active, unrestricted CST or CST/CSFA certification. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor within the last 5 years is required.
Do you have a passion for Surgical Technology and desire to share this with others entering this critical field? Rasmussen University is currently seeking dynamic Part-Time Adjunct instructors to teach within the Surgical Technology program at our HENNEPIN/ANOKA campus.
Our teaching roles allow you the ability to continue working in field while exploring the world of Academia and engaging the next generation of Surgical Technologists. Our Surgical Technology courses provide the knowledge and clinical skills critical for students to be successful in this field.
No prior teaching experience is necessary; training is provided!
Adjunct Faculty will report to an Academic Dean
Adjunct faculty members are primarily responsible for communicating with students and supervising Deans or other University staff related to teaching and learning. Faculty are expected to:
The essential function of the position include, but are not limited to the following tasks, duties, and responsibilities consistent with the function. The employee is expected to perform all other duties as requested, directed, and/or assigned. Adjunct faculty will be assigned up to 3 work units per academic quarter.
